Arachidonoyl 2'-Chloroethylamide
Arachidonyl-2-chloroethylamide (ACEA) is a high affinity agonist of cannabinoid receptor CB1. It binds to the CB1 receptor with high affinity (Ki value of 1.4 nM) and to the CB2 receptor with low affinity (Ki value of 3.1 μM). It inhibits forskolin-induced accumulation of cAMP in Chinese hamster ovary cells expressing the human CB1 receptor. It increases the binding of [35S]GTPgammaS to cerebellar membranes and inhibits electrically evoked contractions of the mouse vas deferens. It produces hypothermia in mice.
