Applications
It has a role in cell enlargement and division, tissue differentiation, and response to light and gravity.
In the plant tissue culture, it’s used for the organ development of plants like shoots and roots.
It’s used as a supplement in growth media like MS media or Gamborg’s media for callus initiation.
Assay Protocol
Follow the given steps to prepare 1L tissue culture media using PCT’s IAA Powder:
Prepare liquid tissue culture media using PCT’s MS, DKW, or any other alternative media.
Add sugar based on the quantity of media you’re making (generally, 30 grams of sugar is added for 1-liter media), 1 ml/L PPM, and 3-4 grams per liter of gellan gum or 6-8 grams per liter of agar.
