Ladirubicin
Ladirubicin (PNU-159548) is a derivative of Daunorubicin. Ladirubicin exhibits DNA intercalation and DNA alkylating properties, inhibits DNA replication and transcription, causes DNA damage, and thereby exhibits antitumor efficacy. Ladirubicin exhibits the potential to penetrate the blood-brain barrier (BBB) for its high lipophilicity. Ladirubicin exhibits toxicity through suppression of bone marrow activity[1].
