Specificity

This antibody specifically recognizes human junctional adhesion molecule A and does not cross-react with other members of the JAM family. JAM-A is an adherens and tight junction protein expressed by endothelial and epithelial cells. It is recently identified as an antigenic protein (Ag) overexpressed in tumor cells and associated with cancer progression.
