JMV 236 is a cholecystokinin antagonist with appetite-suppressing activity. The administration of JMV 236 activates PrRP neurons located in the NTS, thereby enhancing its appetite-suppressing effect. JMV 236 has significant effects on areas of the central nervous system associated with food intake, especially during states of starvation[1].
