Product Specifications
Gene Name
[VP1]
NCBI Gene ID
1491970
Reactivity
Norovirus

Specificity
This antibody shows broadly binding but no blocking activity toward multiple GI and GII strains such as GI.I, GII.2, and GII.17. This antibody recognizes a highly conserved epitope located at an occluded site on the norovirus capsid, at the interface between the P domain and shell domain of the Norovirus, which explain its high level of cross-reactivity. Norovirus (NoVs) is one of the main pathogens causing sporadic cases and large outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis, and norovirus can infect people of all ages.
