Rat Ig and IgG subclasses standard Serum
Product Specifications
Background
This standard is prepared by pooling serum obtained from a large number rats with the following assigned values: IgG1--1.68 mg/ml. IgG2a--3.36 mg/ml. IgG2b--7.66 mg/ml. IgG2c--0.50 mg/ml. IgA--2.43 mg/ml. IgM--1.31 mg/ml. The determination of the concentration of each of the four subclasses was carried out by single radial immunodiffusion (RID, Mancini) in agar gel Nordic Nr. 2 using subclass-specific polyclonal antisera and purified rat immunoglobulins as primary standards. Rat standard serum NOR-03 is intended for use as a calibrator to prepare standard curves in quantitative determinations of the immunoglobulins IgA and IgM and IgG subclasses.
