Plazomicin
Plazomicin (ACHN 490) is a potent aminoglycoside antibiotic in the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Plazomicin has in vitro activity against several multi-drug-resistant organisms, including carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae. Plazomicin has the potential to be used for multi-drug-resistant complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs) or in combination for serious carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae infections[1].
