Caprazene is an antimycobacterial compound and precursor molecule for semi-synthetic antibacterial antibiotics, used for studies on tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex infections, which can be isolated from the acid-treated caprazamycin (CPZ) A-G mixture[1].
