Applications Notes
NMDA NR2B Subunit antibody is specific for the 180 kDa NR2B subunit in Western blots of most brain regions. Immunolabeling blocked by pre-adsorption of antibody with the C-terminal fusion protein of the NR2B subunit that was used to generate the antibody. No reactivity towards the NR2A subunit of the NMDAR. Applications include Dot Blots (DB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP) and Western Blots (WB) . Immunolabeling has been demonstrated in human, mouse and rat tissues. When internally tested under ideal conditions the working dilutions were 1:1000 for DB and WB, 1:1000-1:2000 for IHC, and in IP, 3 μg/200 μg lysate will quantitatively precipitate all NMDAR 2B.
