Applications Notes

Neutralization:To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hMIP-1α (100 ng/mL), a concentration of 5.0-10.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required.ELISA:In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL of this antibody will detect at least 2000 pg/mL of recombinant human MIP-1α when used with our biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human MIP-1α (XP-5232Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 1.0-2.0 μg/mL.Western Blot:To detect hMIP-1α by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hMIP-1α is 1.0-2.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.
