Serum amyloid A /SAA4/CSAA
Recombinant Human Serum Amyloid A4 Protein is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Glu19-Thr130 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
Product Specifications
Background
Serum Amyloid A-4 Protein (SAA4) is a member of the SAA family. SAA proteins are a family of apolipoproteins associated with high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in plasma. SAA4 is constitutively expressed only in humans and mice. Its physiological function is unknown. SAA4 functions as a major acute phase reactant. SAA4 mRNA and protein occurrence in macrophage derived foam cells of coronary and carotid arteries implied a specific role of human SAA4 during inflammation including atherosclerosis.
