Ovalbumins
Ovalbumins (OVA), the main protein found in egg whites, have various biological activities such as anticancer, antihypertensive, antibacterial, antioxidant and immunomodulatory activities. Ovalbumins are the most abundant proteins synthesized in progesterone- or estrogen-treated fallopian tubes and are commonly used as markers to study hormone regulation of gene expression in tissues[1].
