The S100B protein is a small zinc and calcium binding protein abundant in astrocytes with unique calcium and zinc binding sites of varying affinities. Although it binds weakly to calcium, it binds tightly to zinc, and potassium ions antagonize both. S100B Protein, Canine (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant canine-derived S100B protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-hFc labeled tag.
