Function
Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.
Additionnal Information
Western Blotting: 5-10 ug/ml, non-reducing and non-heating conditions.

Immunohistochemistry: 5-10 ug/ml, frozen tissue sections.

Cell Contact Inhibition Assays: 100 ug/ml
Storage Conditions
Lyophilized antibody is stable at 4°C for 2 years. Store the reconstituted solution in aliquots at -20°C for one year or at 4°C for 6 months after addition of 0.1% sodium azide by the user. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity
This antibody specifically reacts with human P-Cadherin, and inhibits P- Cadherin dependent cell-cell contact.
