(±) -Vasicine is the racemate of Vasicine. Vasicine (Peganine) significantly inhibits H+-K+-ATPase activity in vitro with an IC50 of 73.47 μg/mL. Anti-ulcer activity. Vasicine shows significant anti-secretory, antioxidant and cytoprotective effect[1].
