The IkappaB-beta (Phospho-Thr19) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor IkappaB-beta (Phospho-Thr19) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of IkappaB-beta (Phospho-Thr19) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on IkappaB-beta (Phospho-Thr19) .

Function
Inhibits NF-kappa-B by complexing with and trapping it in the cytoplasm. However, the unphosphorylated form resynthesized after cell stimulation is able to bind NF-kappa-B allowing its transport to the nucleus and protecting it to further NFKBIA- dependent inactivation. Association with inhibitor kappa B- interacting NKIRAS1 and NKIRAS2 prevent its phosphorylation rendering it more resistant to degradation, explaining its slower degradation.
