The ATF1 (Phospho-Ser63) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor ATF1 (Phospho-Ser63) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of ATF1 (Phospho-Ser63) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on ATF1 (Phospho-Ser63) .

Function
This protein binds the cAMP response element (CRE) (consensus: 5'-GTGACGT[AC][AG]-3'), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. Binds to the Tax-responsive element (TRE) of HTLV-I. Mediates PKA-induced stimulation of CRE-reporter genes. Represses the expression of FTH1 and other antioxidant detoxification genes. Triggers cell proliferation and transformation.
