The PBK/TOPK Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor PBK/TOPK protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of PBK/TOPK in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on PBK/TOPK.

Function

Phosphorylates MAP kinase p38. Seems to be active only in mitosis. May also play a role in the activation of lymphoid cells. When phosphorylated, forms a complex with TP53, leading to TP53 destabilization and attenuation of G2/M checkpoint during doxorubicin-induced DNA damage.
