The Granzyme B Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor Granzyme B protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of Granzyme B in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on Granzyme B.

Function
This enzyme is necessary for target cell lysis in cell- mediated immune responses. It cleaves after Asp. Seems to be linked to an activation cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) responsible for apoptosis execution. Cleaves caspase-3, -7, -9 and 10 to give rise to active enzymes mediating apoptosis.
