The DNA Polymerase beta Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor DNA Polymerase beta protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of DNA Polymerase beta in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on DNA Polymerase beta.

Function
Repair polymerase that plays a key role in base-excision repair. Has 5'-deoxyribose-5-phosphate lyase (dRP lyase) activity that removes the 5' sugar phosphate and also acts as a DNA polymerase that adds one nucleotide to the 3' end of the arising single-nucleotide gap. Conducts 'gap-filling' DNA synthesis in a stepwise distributive fashion rather than in a processive fashion as for other DNA polymerases.
