Anti-human CD33/Siglec 3 Monoclonal Antibody Biotin Conjugated, Flow Validated

Boster Bio Anti-human CD33/Siglec 3 Monoclonal Antibody Biotin Conjugated, Flow Validated (Catalog# FC01508-Biotin) . Tested in Flow Cytometry application (s) . This antibody reacts with Human.

Product Specifications

Background

CD33, also known as Siglec-3 (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin 3, SIGLEC3, SIGLEC-3, gp67, p67), is a transmembrane receptor expressed on cells of myeloid lineage. It is usually considered myeloid-specific, but it can also be found on some lymphoid cells. CD33 binds sialic acids, therefore is a member of the SIGLEC family of lectins. By fluorescence in situ hybridization, CD33 is mapped to 19q13.3-q13.4.

Function

Putative adhesion molecule of myelomonocytic-derived cells that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. In the immune response, may act as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatase (s) via their SH2 domain (s) that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. Induces apoptosis in acute myeloid leukemia (in vitro) . .
