Nikkomycin Z is a nucleoside peptide and an orally active antifungal agent. Nikkomycin Z inhibits chitin synthesis by acting as a competitive analogue of the chitin synthase substrate UDP-N-acetylglucosamine. Nikkomycin Z has antifungal activity[1][2][3].
