Melilotic acid
Melilotic acid (3- (2-hydroxyphenyl) -propanoic acid) is an orally active compound. Melilotic acid can be isolated from the bark of Chinese cinnamon. Melilotic acid has a significant inhibitory effect on gastric ulcers induced by serotonin (HY-B1473A), phenylbutazone (HY-B0230), ethanoyl, and water immersion stress[1][2].
