5-Methoxyresorcinol
5-Methoxyresorcinol is a model molecule of the A ring of flavonoids, specifically simulating the chemical behavior of the resorcinol-type A ring found in catechins. 5-Methoxyresorcinol exhibits extremely low reactivity of tocopherol. 5-Methoxyresorcinol hardly inhibits cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) [1][2].
