Is expressed in brain; brainstem; submandibular gland epithelium; and testis. Used to study type 1 diabetes mellitus. Human ortholog (s) of this gene implicated in Crohn's disease; IgA glomerulonephritis; and ulcerative colitis. Orthologous to human SELL (selectin L) .
