Involved in several processes, including G-quadruplex DNA unwinding; positive regulation of cell differentiation; and regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Acts upstream of or within response to exogenous dsRNA and response to virus. Located in cytosol. Is expressed in heart and telencephalon. Orthologous to human DHX36 (DEAH-box helicase 36) .
