Neuroprotective agent 2 (Compd 28) is a potent neuroprotective agent which has a protective effect in both salsolinol and glutamate-induced neurodegeneration models. Neuroprotective agent 2 reduces oxidative stress and caspase-3/7 activity in the glutamate model[1].
