Alkyne-SNAP (compound 3) is an Alkyne-conjugated benzylguanine. The benzylguanine moiety reacts with the SNAP-tag, allowing irreversible and covalent labeling of SNAP fusion proteins with an additional alkyne functionality for further click chemistry conjugation[1].
