Antileishmanial agent-12 (compound 5a) is a potent anti-leishmanial agent. Antileishmanial agent-12 shows antiprotozoal activity against Leishmania brazilensis, Leishmania infantum, and T. cruzi, with IC50 values of 14.9, 21.3 and 9.3 μM, respectively[1].
