Ceftaroline fosamil hydrate is a potent cephalosporin antibiotic. Ceftaroline fosamil hydrateshows broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive pathogens, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and multidrug-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, and common Gram-negative organisms.
