5-oxo-ETE is a potent chemoattractant for eosinophils. 5-oxo-ETE inhibits selenium-induced apoptosis in prostate cancer cells. 5-oxo-ETE can be used in research into asthma, allergic diseases, cancer and cardiovascular disease[1].
