DDX4 Antibody
DEAD box proteins are RNA helicases involved in cellular processes involving the alteration of RNA secondary structure. DDX4, DEAD box polypeptide 4, is the mammalian homolog of the Drosophila VASA gene. DDX4 is expressed solely in ovarian and testicular germ cells and therefore a useful germ cell lineage marker and possible useful biomarker for germ cell cancers.
