1-O-Hexadecyl-2-O-acetyl-sn-glycerol is an alkyl acylglycerol that may activate the amino acid transport activity of the A-system and stimulate the absorption of methylaminoisobutyric acid (MeAIB) . MeAIB inhibits mTOR phosphorylation, which may affect intestinal amino acid absorption and signal transduction[1][2].
