JAK1 protein is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in IFN-α/β/γ signaling and serves as a kinase partner for IL-2 and IL-10 receptors. It cooperates with the type I interferon receptor IFNAR2 to phosphorylate and activate IFNAR2 upon interferon binding to IFNAR1-IFNAR2.
