BioSim™ anti-Ramucirumab (Human) ELISA Kit
Ramucirumab is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), a type II trans-membrane tyrosine kinase receptor that is expressed on endothelial cells. As a result, the antibody inhibits the interaction with its ligands (VEGF A, C, and D) and prevents VEGF-mediated proliferation, migration of endothelial cells, and angiogenesis. The antibody has been approved to treat advanced gastric cancer/gastro-esophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma, metastatic non-small lung carcinoma (NSLC), metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). BioSim™ anti-Ramucirumab ELISA kit has been specifically developed to qualitatively determine antibodies to Ramucirumab in human serum and plasma samples. The ELISA kit is based on the sandwich principle. Controls and samples are incubated in the microtiter plate coated with the drug Ramucirumab. After incubation, the wells are washed and the enzymatic activity is detected by the addition of chromogen-substrate. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated with an acidic stop solution. The color developed is proportional to the amount of antibodies specific for Ramucirumab present in the samples and controls. The qualitative test results can be evaluated using cut-off value.
