Specificity
Recognizes both the occupied and unoccupied forms of VDR. Epitope: aa89-105 near the DNA-binding domain of human VDR. Does not crossreact with estrogen and glucocorticoid receptors. In mammals, recognizes a protein of ~53kD which is identified as vitamin D Receptor (VDR). In avians, VDR appears as a doublet of 58 and 60kD. Species Crossreactivity: Human, porcine, mouse, rat, hamster, frog, chicken and fish.
