Storage Conditions

May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Specificity

Recognizes human TSP. Inhibits TSP-collagen interaction. Its binding to TSP is unaffected by glycosaminoglycans (e.g. hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate and heparin). Its binding is enhanced by EDTA i.e. at low conc. of Ca2+. It shows no crossreactivity with fibronectin, fibrinogen and von Willebrand factor. Shows a mild crossreaction with TSP 2. Species Crossreactivity: Bovine, porcine, equine, canine, sheep, mouse, and rat.
