Neuropeptide Y (NPY)

Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes bovine Neuropeptide Y (NPY). Synthetic Peptide Crossreactivity: somatostatin-14, leu-enkephalin, met-enkephalin, oxytocin, Agr8-vasopressin, vasoactive intestinal peptide, angiotensin II: <0.005%. Substance P: <0.02%. Peptide YY: ~36%. Bovine pancreatic polypeptide: ~0.05%. Human Peptide YY shares 65% homology amino acid sequence for human NPY. Species Crossreactivity: rabbit and guinea pig.
