His-Tag (6-Histidine)

May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes over-expressed proteins containing the 6X His epitope tag. Does not cross-react with endogenous proteins in bacterial extracts. The antibody recognizes the His-tag (His-His-His-His-His-His) fused to either the amino- or carboxy- termini of targeted proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
