Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Specificity
Recognizes human intact (250kD) and collagenase digested (150kD) tissue Type VII collagen. Does not crossreact with types I, II, III, IV, V collagens, lamins or fibronectin. Epitope: Located on non-helical (non-collagenous) C-terminal region of collagen VII and is resistant to collagenase, trypsin, pronase, neuraminidase, chondroitinase, and hyaluronidase. It is, however, lost by digestion of collagen VII with pepsin. Species Crossreactivity: marmoset, monkey, bovine, sheep, goat, porcine and guinea pig.
