Collagen Type II

May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Highly specific to chicken type II collagen and lathyritic type II collagen. Does not crossreact with types I, III, IV, V, VI, IX, X, or XI. In Western Blot, recognizes TCB fragment of pepsin-digested type II collagen after digestion with mammalian collagenase. Species Crossreactivity: human, mouse, rat and bovine
