Collagen Type I (Biotin)

Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C Stable for 12 months. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes Collagen Type I. Some class speci?c anti-collagens may be speci?c for three-dimensional epitopes which may result in diminished reactivity with denatured collagen or formalin-?xed, paraf?n embedded tissues. Recognizes most mammalian Type I collagens and has negligible crossreactivity with Type II, III, IV, V and VI collagens detected by ELISA against puri?ed standards.. Non-speci?c crossreaction of anti-collagen antibodies with other human serum proteins or non-collagen extracellular matrix proteins is negligible.
