CD11b (ITGAM, Mac-1, alphaM integrin, Cr3, MO-1, C3bi Receptor)(FITC)

Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes most macrophages (including resident peritoneal and activated macrophages), kupffer cells, but only about 35% of alveolar macrophages. The antibody also labels dendritic cells extensively, granulocytes and cells with the morphology of microglia in brain. The antibody precipitates three polypeptides of 150, 103 and 95kD. The antibody inhibits complement mediated rosettes and is probably the rat equivalent of the human receptor for IC3b called CR3.
