Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 degree C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4 degree C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Specificity
Recognizes all six isoforms of vertebrate actin, globular (G) and fillimentous (F) forms. This clone is a pan-actin antibody that binds to an epitope in a highly conserved region of actin. Labels myotubes and stains myoblasts and fibroblasts. Does not interfere with actin polymerization to form filaments, at a ratio as high as one antibody per two actin monomers. Species Crossreactivity: All vertebrates as well as Dictyostelium discoideum and Physarum polycephalum.
