Guanine Nucleotide Dissociation Inhibitor (GDI) (Biotin)
Product Specifications
Gene Name
[GDI]
Reactivity
Bovine, Human, Mouse, Rat
Storage Conditions
Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Specificity
Specific for GDI-1 (~50kD). GDI-1 is also referred to as GDI-a and Rab3A GDI (1). Crossreactivity to GDI-2 (~46kD) has been observed. A synthetic peptide, corresponding to a 20 amino acid sequence of bovine brain Rab Guanine Nucleotide Dissociation Inhibitor (GDI), was conjugated to carrier protein and used as the immunogen. This sequence is conserved in both mouse and rat GDI proteins. Human, mouse and rat. Reactivity has been confirmed by Western blot analysis of extracts derived from human HEK293 cells and of recombinant bovine Rab-GDI.
