beta-Amyloid Peptide (MaxLight 550)

Store product at 4 degree C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degree C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

Specific for the 4-5kD human b-Amyloid peptide derived by cleavage from the b-Amyloid precursor protein. Reactivity has been confirmed by Western Blot using a synthetic b-Amyloid peptide (1-40), by immunohistochemistry on Alzheimer's diseased human brain sections and by immunoprecipitation of 35S-methionine labeled b-Amyloid peptide secreted by transfected culture cells.
