Recognizes the core antigen of Salmonella enterica, serogroups A (S. paratyphi A), B (S. typhimurium), C1 (S. choleraesuis), C2 (S. newport), D (S. enteriditis), E1 (E. anatum) and E2 (S. selandia). It does not cross-react with Escherichia coli 055:B5, E. coli K12 or Klebsiella pneumoniae.
