Mucin 1 (MUC1 Glycoprotein, CD227) (FITC)

May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.

Recognizes underglycosylated and natural MUC1 protein (isolated from human milk by affinity chromatography). Does not crossreact with normal serum proteins and human tissues of nonepithelial origin. Binds with high efficiency with different epitopes within the VNTR tandem repeat peptide conformations and peptide- carbohydrate compositions.
