Troponin I, Cardiac (cTnI) (AP)

May be stored at 4 degree C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degree C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing alkaline phosphatase conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity.

Reacts equally with free cardiac troponin I (cTnl) and cTnl forming complexes with other troponin components. Not affected by heparin, phosphorylation, oxidation and troponin complex formation. Recognizes an epitope located between aa190-196 of cTnI. No crossreaction with skeletal muscle troponin I.
